About Go West Tours USA & Canada

Quite terrifying that this company hired openly racist and Islamophobic tour guides. One of their tour guides of over 20 years refers to Muslims as animals. When people go on a tour with your company they expect safe treatment but how can you provide that when the host is shouting racist slurs all over the internet.

I booked Go West Tours in Melbourne for the Great Ocean Road tour to the 12 Apostles. My driver and tour guide was Sherif. I had an amazing time. The pickup was easy, only a few blocks from my airbnb. All stops were on time. The breakfast was lovely. Sherif was knowledgeable and had such wonderful, positive vibes. He knew everyone's name and helped take pictures at every stop. I would not hesitate to book another Go West tour when I get back to Melbourne. Cheers!

From 11.-24. July 2023 we did a round trip through the west of the USA and booked it through the german travel agency Ikarus Tours. Our first trip to the USA became a dream come true. We would like to thank you for the wonderful organization of the trip. All excursions, routes and stops were well chosen. A special thank you goes to our tour guide. Chris Raeymaekers is an intelligent and friendly person who managed to convey a lot of information in an entertaining way and with a lot of humor. I want to start of with the fact I was not apart if this tourist group, who had come from France, but I was having a meal with my family at Denny’s restaurant on April 14th, the guide for the group was an awful terrible person. He treated the tourist with the utmost disrespect !!! He talked down on them did not allow them to finish their meal because they were running on his time!! He was having a conversation with the gentleman he was sitting with and was being quite racist saying he was is so tired of the French and playing babysitter with a whole bunch of whinny French people. I kindly asked one of the tourist what company they were touring with just to personally write this review hoping someone will reach out to the guide to deal with him. I will never recommend my family nor anyone else to this tourist company! Shame on that guide and shame on go west tours for allowing him to treat people that way!!!

Successful incentive group!

We went on a Great Ocean Road tour with Camille on 08/28/23. She was a terrific guide and fearless driver on those winding roads. It was SO sweet that we stopped for tea and cakes in mid morning at the beach. Very thoughtful and pleasant surprise. She showed us SO much! The Twelve Apostles, the tropic rainforest, the fine homes along the beach, and many other stops. She gave advice at each stop (there were LOTS!)as to what to see, where the bathrooms are, what's good (unique) to eat there & which restaurant was quick. She was very calm when 2 passengers were a 1/2 hr late to return & handled it well. A delightful woman and most knowledgeable guide. I would absolutely do it again. For any foreign visitors, that drive is something that should be done by a professional! It was hair raising. But she was as calm as could be. It is a loooong day, so be ready for it. Thankfully, there are many built in bathroom breaks. The places we saw were spectacular!! Merci, Camille!

We had an amazing day on our Go West Tour to Moonlit Sanctuary and the Penguin Parade. Our tour guide, Cloe, was incredible! She was so friendly, helpful, full of knowledge, and funny as a bonus! I would highly recommend the Moonlit/Penguine Parade Eco tour from Melbourne!
